Summer Instructional Aide - Vietnamese-English Literature Support

Welcome to the Mount Pleasant School District! Mount Pleasant School District is a Transitional Kindergarten through 8th Grade district with three Elementary Schools, one Middle School, and one Transitional Kindergarten through 8th Grade Dependent Charter School.

Nestled in the East Foothills of San Jose, it prepares about 1,500 students for high school, college, and careers. Parents not only volunteer their services to the schools but are an integral part of planning and implementing new programs in our district. This instructional aide will work in the summer to help students thrive. With a focus on English literature support, they will utilize bilingual skills to assist Vietnamese-speaking students in developing their reading and language-learning abilities.

• High school diploma or equivalent- 2 years of college (48+ units) OR an associate degree (or higher) OR passing the district tests- Résumé- REQUIRED: Bilingual in Vietnamese (test available)- TB test result valid within last 4 years

• Transcripts must be official. When requested, they can be given in their official sealed envelope or sent via credential services (addressed to MPESD).
