Summer High School Intern - Purchasing

SUMMER HIGH SCHOOL INTERNSHIP - PURCHASING (SUPPLY CHAIN)

7 Week Program: June 6 - July 24 (Week of July 4th off)

Part Time: 20 hours per week

$10.00 per hour

Applications accepted through May 5th, Must be 16 years old by June 5th to apply

Responsibilities:

• Assists with receiving and storing inventory, distributing materials to all departments of the health center.

• Assisting in the procurement of all operating supplies and materials required for the daily operation of the health center with the exception of food and medications.

• Maintains a positive attitude in promoting the hospital's mission, philosophy, purpose and high standards of health care to our customers.

• Maintains security, privacy and confidentiality of patient health information according to HIPPA guidelines and computer security guidelines.

• Supports and abides by all organizational, departmental and safety policies and procedures.

• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.

• Performs other duties as requested.

• Basic math skills required

• Able to address many tasks at one time and work with detailed information

• Ability to follow instructions required

• Must have good computer, verbal and written skills

• Dependability and positive attitude required

• Must be able to interact with a variety of customers

• Employment contingent on successful background and pre-employment screenings.
