Position Information
Classification Title Temporary Technical Paraprofessional FLSA Non-Exempt UGA Job Code FTE 1.000 Minimum Qualifications Position Summary
This position will be responsible for performing routine fieldwork in crop research fields in the summer. This will involve caring for various species of plants (chiefly corn) in order to keep them healthy. The major responsibility early in the season will be weeding, while data collection will dominate later in the season.

Care of plants in greenhouse and/or field conditions. (Both is ideal; if only one, field conditions are preferred)
Able to work both alone and in teams
Good communication skills
Good organization skills
Knowledge of plant growth conditions, nutrient requirements, etc.
Physical Demands
Work in extreme heat. Moderate lifting, up to 50 lbs. Travel to check on remote research plots at other locations.
