Job Summary

Summer College Student Opportunities

Anchor Glass Elmira will be hiring college students for temporary summer employment.

MAIN POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Position Summary:

Team player to operate automatic and semi-automatic equipment used in the packaging of glass bottles in a fast paced, production driven facility.

Main Function:

Unjams equipment as required. May manually place tier sheets or frames.

Records production information. Ability to work rotating shifts, nights and weekends.

Working Conditions/Demands:

Accustom to long periods of standing. Able to withstand extreme work environments in the summer.

EMPLOYEE QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications:

• Students must be at least 18 years old.

• Must have completed one year of college and currently enrolled to continue their education.

• Proof of college enrollment will be required.

• Be available to work from May through September (or until fall semester begins).
