We are hiring for our summer camp teacher. We run a 13 weeks summer program that is broken into weekly camps with different themes: cooking, science, animal, sports and art camps to name a few. This can be a seasonal or year round position, with adjustments made during the school year. Driving is required for this position to transport students on field trips in our company vehicle.

We are most interested in talking to applicants that have:

  • Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans in a school or childcare center.

  • Coursework or a degree in education, child development, family studies, psychology, sociology, or a CDA

  • Flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work

  • Must be at least 21 years of age with clean driving record

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities: * Design and deliver a balanced program of instruction for summer school classes. * Instructs students in the subject of Science during summer school. * Implements both group and individual lesson plans for instructional experiences for students in accordance with established curriculum. * Maintains accurate and complete records as required by laws, policies, and regulations. * Instructs students utilizing a variety of classroom methods, adapting methodology and instructional materials to meet student needs, abilities, and IEPs. * Assigns and grades class work and homework as needed, and may administer and grades tests. * Implements behavioral protocols; observes and evaluates student behavior, performance, social development, and physical health. Schedule: Must be able to work May 29-August 1st * 8:45am-12:45pm * Monday-Thursday, no Fridays!
