Position Summary:

The Lead Technology Teacher is responsible for:

    The implementation of Fleming Tech Camps’ curriculum

    Actively leading and participating in all camp activities (indoor and outdoor)

    Providing a safe and fun learning environment

    Serving as a positive role model for campers and counselors

    Be responsible for the overall the supervision of all Tech program campers


The Lead Technology Teacher must be a motivated team member who loves technology, believes deeply in Fleming Tech Camps’ mission and displays a track record of achievement in teaching, supervision & management of youth and ensuring the safety and well-being of people of all ages.

Position Objective/Purpose:

We are seeking team members who can teach (one, multiple, or all of) the following technology courses:Game Design & Roller Coaster ScienceMinecraft 4 Kids: Level 1Sports Car Racing and Robot ChallengeWeb Design 4 Kids: Intro and IntermediateMaster Builders: Lego Engineering featuring MinecraftIntroduction to Scratch- Programming 4 KidsJunior Robotics: Levels 1 & 2 This is a Technology Summer camp Teaching Position. Camp runs from June 17 - August 9, Monday- Friday. You must be available 8:30 am- 3:30 pm

VIEW JOBS 1/25/2021 12:00:00 AM 2021-04-25T00:00 Overview The Summer Internship will be an opportunity for a rising Junior or Senior to work with the JBG Smith Construction Management team working on Tenant Improvement and Capital Expenditure construction projects within the Washington, DC area. The JBG Smith mixed-use portfolio consists of approximately 36 million square feet of high-quality office, multifamily and retail assets, 98% of which are Metro-served. The internship will provide experience working directly with local general contractors, architects, tenants, and property management teams on all facets of several fast-paced projects within existing JBG Smith office buildings. The Summer Intern is responsible for embracing a new learning opportunity by working at the JBG Smith corporate office and occasionally on site at various construction projects. The Summer Intern will be providing administrative support to the Construction Management Team and is also responsible for providing prompt and courteous assistance and customer service to the Tenants of assigned commercial office buildings. The Summer Intern is responsible for complying with the operational policies and procedures established by JBG SMITH. Responsibilities * Assisting with the management of the JBG Smith Honest Buildings Construction Management platform to include entering, monitoring and closing projects, preparing reports and graphs as requested. * Assist in conducting and documenting construction site inspections using Bluebeam Software. * Attend construction progress meetings with the Construction Manager for tenant improvement and capital projects and review/document progress of ongoing construction. * Review of construction drawings and specifications at various design stages within the project life cycle. * Preparation of project documentation including Consultant agreements, Requests for Proposals, Bid Comparison Sheets, and Construction Contracts. * Administrative duties may include typing, spell checking and proofreading all correspondence and reports, filing, maintaining up-to-date project files. * Performing other administrative duties as assigned. * Assist Construction Team in tracking construction & leasing efforts in VTS platform. * Assist in obtaining project permits. * Track project schedules and monitor progress and delays. * Complete special projects as assigned. Additional Opportunities: * Opportunity to learn about Washington, DC real estate market through property and project tours of new development (ground-up construction or building renovation/repositioning) projects. * Opportunity to learn about role of government entities (Arlington County, Fairfax County, District of Columbia, United States General Services. * Administration) in the construction process. Qualifications * Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in one of the following programs: Architecture, Urban Affairs and Planning, Building Construction, Real Estate, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management or any related degree. * Prior internship or other work experience in the real estate/ construction industry is preferred. * Strong computer skills: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project necessary. * Intermediate capabilities with other Windows programs and the operation of a PC in general. Ability to learn and effectively use software packages such as Yardi, Angus, VTS and Bizflow. * Analytical skills: collect, interpret, organize and evaluate detailed data, and familiarity reviewing construction drawings.
