KidzToPros is a leading provider of education and enrichment programs, including after-school programs, learning pods, tutoring and seasonal camps. Our on-campus programs are offered at schools, making it convenient for parents, while kids get to stay in the safety of their school, and participate with friends in activities. Over 25,000 students have participated in our after-school programs and seasonal camps!

KidzToPros is in search of experienced Summer Camp Instructors for our STEM, Arts and Sports summer programs. If you have experience teaching classes or camps in any of these disciplines, including how to program in Python, building and automating robots, developing VR apps, designing and developing websites, drawing anime, or playing basketball, soccer or other sports, KidzToPros offers an incredible opportunity for the summer. We provide our industry leading curricula and all needed materials for a fun and engaging camp experience!

DATES: June - August 2021

JOB TYPE: Full-time, Part-time

HOURS: Full-time (40+ hours per week) and

Part-time (15 to 20 hours per week) positions available

SALARY: $16.00 to $18.00 /hour

YOUR BACKGROUND:

  • You are an experienced and trustworthy instructor, with the ability to instruct and manage your group of campers.
  • You have subject-specific expertise and are comfortable working with existing curriculum.
  • You are committed to the personal growth of each camper in your group, ensuring they have a positive, enriching, fun and safe experience.
  • You have excellent communication skills and can clearly communicate with both campers and their parents.
  • You are able to recognize and quickly resolve any conflicts that may arise between campers.
  • You are organized and efficient.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience working in a camp environment
  • Knowledgeable and passionate about coaching and teaching kids
  • Ability to work with kids in Grades TK-8
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Efficient class management skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid drivers license
  • You will be required to clear a background check via online/live scan
  • Undergo training/demonstration
  • Must have availability Monday- Friday for schedules between 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

CORE Responsibilities * Happy Campers * Provide age and developmentally-appropriate outdoor instruction * Independently instruct our outdoor skills curriculum (navigation, cooking, wildlife info, shelter building, etc.), LNT, biking, games & yoga in & around someone's home * Serve as a role model and guide campers with appropriate behavior, attitudes, and activities * Stellar Programs * Independently lead activities at designated recreational areas * Provide safe, quality programs by following Avid4 Adventure and regulatory guidelines on the health and safety of all participants. * Passionate Staff * Provide exceptional customer service to parents and all participants in our programs * Be a member of a dynamic staff team and take an active role in the evaluation of campers, programs, and staff Job Requirements * Minimum of Basic/Community First Aid & CPR prior to the start of camp (Staff with WFA or higher do receive additional compensation). * Must be at least 19 years of age by the start of camp. * Must share our passion for inspiring kids to get outside and away from screens! * Must have reliable personal transportation to get to and from the camper family home and transport a bike and program supplies (small bin). * 1+ year of experience working with groups of school-aged kids through volunteering, school, babysitting, etc. and have the knowledge/ability to teach our outdoor curriculum. Important Details * Job dates: Training starts in late May. Camp programs run through mid-August. For specific dates and details on each location & program, please click here. * Work week: Monday - Friday, about 40 hours/week. You will be working with campers from 9am - 3pm but there will be additional paid hours required for a weekly staff meeting and pre-camp calls/lesson planning. Compensation * Starts at $19.34/hour.
