Role Summary

GE Energy Financial Services (EFS), the energy investment arm of GE Capital, is recruiting Summer Analysts for a 10-week internship. The ideal candidate is a highly-motivated individual interested in the energy sector.

Essential Responsibilities

Opportunities in portfolio management and investment underwriting exist in the Renewables, and Power sectors. These teams provide and manage financial solutions for our Industrial businesses. Summer analysts will be exposed to financial modeling, deal documentation, asset acquisitions/sales, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities may include the following:

  • Analyze and/or develop financial models and projections

  • Conduct industry/company research and analysis

  • Perform asset valuation analysis

  • Assist in preparation of credit requests and other deal specific documentation

  • Maintain deal management information systems that are leveraged for the preparation of internal reports

  • Independently develop and execute projects aimed at improving business processes

  • Review operating and financial results of project companies

  • Assist in the underwriting of new transactions, as well as asset management and syndication


  • Anticipated graduation in Spring/Summer 2022/2023 from a bachelor's program

  • Majors: Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Economics or related

  • GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Undergraduate/rising senior

  • Experience working with, proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
