Summer Activity Camp: Sports & Soccer Instructor (Ballard)

The Associated Recreation Council (ARC), in partnership with Seattle Parks & Recreation, is hiring an Sports & Soccer Instructor. The instructor will be responsible for programming and delivering a sports class to kids aged 5-7. The instructor will be responsible for creating lessons and teaching the fundamentals of various sports such as: soccer, football, volleyball, basketball, etc. The instructor must have the ability to engage with a diverse group of children and manage an Indoor/outdoor classroom of students. A passion for sports and games are a must!

Camp Schedule::

• Monday through Fridays | 8:45am

• 4:15p | 1 hour lunch |Full-Time

Pay Range:

• $24.50-$26.50/hr

• Ballard Community Center

Summer Activity Camp: Sports & Soccer Instructor Requirements:

• Develop and deliver developmentally appropriate activity camp lesson plans/activities to kids ages 5-7 for a camp.

• Maintain documentation on camp participants to ensure security and youth safety- including but not limited to sign in sheets, medical needs and parenting plans

• Use critical thinking to problem-solve and manage conflict

• Generate supply lists for each camp; there will be some class supply funds available

• Maintain camp appropriate professional appearance

• Daily set-up, take down and cleaning of space

Summer Activity Camp: Sports & Soccer Instructor Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Prior youth programming experience required

• Must have demonstrated working experience working with families, community members and partners to foster positive relationships
