Shea Co., Inc. 401(k) plan after completion of 30 days of service.POSITION OVERVIEW:Under general supervision, the Activities Coordinator is responsible for planning, executing, coordinating, and supervising the recreational lifestyle programs for the club and Youth Summer program. This includes planning, scheduling, and implementing activities in specific programs. In addition, the Activities Coordinator oversees the rental, scheduling, use and maintenance of the activity/fitness facilities and performs related work as required. Additional related duties assigned as necessary.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:* Participate in activities and engaging in the youth programs. * Lead youth events, including outdoor daily activities. * Interact with members of all ages to include kids. * Coordinate behind the scenes administrative duties for the activities planned. * Create and maintain an environment with the activities programming which reflects professionalism, the BlueStar Experience, and a sense of urgency to accommodate members. * Responsible for creating and communicating activities schedules to members and necessary department staff; also responsible for set-up/take-down of the event. * Ensure each program/event is set-up and meets member expectations. * Applies appropriate risk management to assure health and safety of participants. * Responsible for being present throughout all programmed events to assist, answer questions, and facilitate service delivery, control and review facilities at close of event. * Post event/activity check list. * Greet, welcome, and deliver the BlueStar Experience to all incoming members/guests. * Complete any necessary tasks related to activities/lifestyle designated by the leadership team. * Communicate the Core Values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf to support the achievement of company goals. * Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:* Must be highly customer oriented and responsive with high need for closure. * Able to work under pressure and balance multiple priorities and assignments. * Strong team-building skills including the ability to lead, cooperate, and motivate. * Must be role model and able to live our BlueStar core values:*
  • Honesty and Integrity * Respect for the Individual * Teamwork * Competitive SpiritMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:* High School diploma or equivalent preferred. * One to three years' of experience working with children preferred. * One to three years' relative customer service or hospitality experience preferred. * Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office. * Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memorandums. * Ability to communicate positively and effectively with team members and supervisors about job tasks and responsibilities. * Desire to contribute to a productive work environment by maintaining a positive attitude with team members and the public. * Must be self-motivated, follow direction, and able to work independently with little supervision. * Must have good time management, organization, and follow-up skills. * Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards; attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness is expected. * Must be able to pay attention to multiple details and be comfortable working in a fast paced environment where continuous improvement is expected. * This position requires a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends. * Valid driver's license may be required.WORK ENVIRONMENT:This position works in an outdoor environment. There is regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions and occasional exposure to native wildlife. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, hear, speak clearly and understand the speech of another person, sometimes in a noisy environment. This position is very active and requires standing and walking for most of a work shift, bending, kneeling, using hands to fingers to handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. Dependable vision is critical to this position.
