Under the direction of a migrant supervisor, Migrant Education Program, and with input from the school site principal/designee, will provide individual and small group tutoring to migrant students during the regular year program at an after school site and/or in the home. Will be responsible for providing tutoring in reading, writing, mathematics, English Language Development and other academic subjects as needed for students to meet grade level standards; may include student observation in the classroom setting, meeting with the classroom teacher and or school-site principal and/or designee. This position is not included in the classified bargaining unit and is not subject to terms of the union agreement regarding membership, payment of like fee, or donation to recognized charity.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

The position requires a High School Diploma or recognized equivalent and one year of experience working with school-aged students. LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES: Requires a valid California Driver's License.

If using personal vehicle in the course of employment, must have proof of liability insurance required by law. 1. DMV printout (Driving Record) 2. Must be NCLB/ESSA compliant through locally development assessment or have 48-college units or an Associate Degree 3.

Must furnish own transportation 4. Must be bilingual in the language of the children being served Candidates who meet MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS, but lack NCLB certification will be scheduled for an exam.
