Summer 2024 High School Field Operations Intern - Tulsa, OK

Oklahoma Natural Gas (ONG) Field Operations Interns are given the opportunity to experience the type of work they might encounter in a full-time position through on-the-job assignments and job shadowing. ONG Field Operations internships exposes students to most areas of Field Operations through a six-week rotational program which may include Pressure Control & Measurement, Cathodic Protection, Leak Survey, Customer Service, Engineering, Line Locating, Project Coordination, etc.

Position Responsibilities

Participate in job shadowing to become familiar with business unit operations and job functions.

Observe pipeline construction, installation, maintenance and removal work on transmission and distribution pipelines.

Observe work related to customer service field and compliance activities.

Become familiar with business unit organizational hierarchy, reporting structure and operating procedures.

Review applicable Federal, State, and local guidelines and regulations as relative to business operations.

Participate in team building activities with fellow interns, within office and field settings.

Position Requirements

Current student at a Tulsa Area high school.

Must be 17 years of age or older on June 4th , 2024.

Reference letter required from a teacher and/or school counselor.

Must be able to provide transportation to internship location.

Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.

Compensation: All ONE Gas internship positions are paid. We offer a fair and competitive pay rate.

Projected Internship Dates: June 4th, 2024 - July 11th, 2024

Hours Per Week: 18 hours per week (Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday: 9:00 am-4:00 pm)
