Summer 2024 Data Science Intern

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Summer/Fall 2024 Data Science Intern in our Fort Collins, CO location but can support remotely. We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical-minded individual to join our dynamic and supportive work environment with opportunities for professional growth. This internship will provide hands-on experience in data processing, analysis, and visualization, supporting our efforts to make data-driven decisions. You will receive mentorship from experienced data analysts and exposure to real-world analytics challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in collecting and analyzing large datasets.

• Review drafts of detailed requirement analysis and process documentation for grammatical usage.

• Manage tasks in Team Foundation Server system and assist with assignment.

• Provide Excel support to non-technical users.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various analytics projects.

• Participate in the development and implementation of data analysis tools and algorithms.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a federal security clearance.

• A HS diploma and some advanced level training.

• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related analytical field.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Experience with Excel.

• Strong foundational knowledge with Data Science/Analytic tools.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus, but not required.

• Previous hands-on internship experience.

Target Salary Range

The rate / range per hour below represents the typical pay for this position based on experience and other factors.
