We have an exciting internship opportunity for an undergraduate student studying international Affairs, Public Relations, International Marketing, or related major at an accredited university with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Must be local to the D.C. area as housing will not be provided.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under limited supervision, working on non-routine projects with general instruction and advanced projects with detailed instructions, this intern can expect to perform the following tasks:
Providing research, analytical, and writing support to GA-ASI Government Affairs staff.
Attends information gathering sessions internally and externally to gain a greater understanding of customer perspectives and requirements.
Provide assistance and coordination to the Government Affairs staff on issues regarding the impact of government's activities.
Drafting white papers
Perform analysis in support of the team working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Track internal and external issues relevant to Strategic Development Government Affairs, such as legislation, regulations, news releases, and other events.
Develop critical Government Affairs strategic messaging for social media.
Assist in corporate think tank strategy and planning
Typically requires enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student at a recognized college or university.
Must possess the ability to understand new concepts and apply them accurately.
Must possess the ability to follow general and detailed instructions as well as organizational policies and procedures.
Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills to enable effective interface with internal professionals.
Must possess the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Must possess basic computer skills.
Understanding of a second language is a plus.
Needs to have broad knowledge of national security policy.
Should possess basic knowledge of international market place.
Need to have strong written and verbal skills.
Must be local to the D.C. area
Must be able to obtain and maintain DOD Security Clearance. (Requires US Citizenship)
