At 1st United Credit Union, we are committed to improving the quality of life for our members and the communities we serve across the East Bay and Tri-valley area. We are seeking a qualified intern to join us for the summer 2019. This paid internship program is designed to give you a broad experience in Business Intelligence department at our HQ in Pleasanton, CA.

You will learn:

  • Utilize third party SDK to enhance our online banking platform

  • Write and test code with Python

  • Troubleshoot and debug programs

  • Ensure quick response times to systems failure

  • Coordinate with internal teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions

  • Projects as assigned


  • You must be a Junior or a Senior and currently working towards a Bachelors degree in STEM major. Masters students in STEM are welcome

  • 3.0 GPA or above

  • Experience writing code with Python and its framework such as Django, Flask or Tornado

  • MS Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.

  • Punctual and Professional with great time management skills

  • Basic knowledge of business and interests in financial industry

We have intern positions available in San Ramon, Pleasanton or Livermore Responsibilities When you join our Management Internship Program, you'll acquire highly marketable skills and experience pertaining to every aspect of running a successful business. There is one consistent aspect, however - everyday, you'll learn more about sales/marketing, customer service, business management, and administrative skills than you ever thought possible. Leadership experience may include extra-curricular activities, athletics or student organizations, and management/supervisory experience. * Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future. * Must be able to commit to a minimum 10-12 weeks and attend one week of training in May or June.
