The Suitability Analyst will have experience supporting the U.S. Census Bureau (USCB) and utilizing their systems to provide Pre-Screening Background Investigative Support Services to conclude the suitability of employees hired during the 2020 Census. The prospective employee will be responsible for conducting background investigations for the United States Census Bureau. This is a Work from Home opportunity. Applicants must reside in the DC/MD/VA locales.

Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Will oversee and follow procedures to process electronic security questionnaires, conduct investigations and make recommendations regarding clearance eligibility.

  • Will make final determination regarding clearance eligibility process.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

Required Experience

  • One year's experience or education training certification.

  • Must have working knowledge of OPM Electronic Questionnaires Processing (e-QIP) online application.

  • Hands on experience in assisting with form completion, lockouts, password resets, account creations, and providing the registration code.

  • Experience in initiating e-QIP at the correct OPM investigation tier based on position risk/sensitivity level.

  • Must have demonstrated experience in utilizing personnel security databases including Office of Personnel Public, Portal (NP2), e-QIP, Central Verification System (CVS) and Personnel Investigations Processing System (PIPS).

  • Experience with administrative tasks, including but not limited to answering help desk calls, managing candidate correspondence and scanning documents.

  • Must have the ability to use independent judgment to respond to requests as appropriate.

  • Experience with scheduling fingerprint appointments and collecting necessary documentation.

  • Familiarity with the fingerprinting process.

  • Have experience working with the process and procedure of the handling of sensitive PII.

Required Qualifications:

  • Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this position requires U.S. Citizenship status.

  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.

  • High School or equivalent.

  • Be able to read and understand the English language to effectively carry out duties and responsibilities.

  • Must be able to write and speak the English language and to communicate, properly and clearly, to communicate in person.
