Requirements / Qualifications

Thank you for your interest in a position with Sugarloaf. Sugarloaf Fine Arts Camp is held during two independent weeks in July.

This is not a summer-long camp. If you are new to Sugarloaf, please review our website www.sugarloafcamp.org to gain a greater understanding of our camp. Session 1 - Storekeeper will meet at Camp on Saturday July 7, 2024 at 10 a.m.

Session 2 - Storekeeper will meet at EDCOE on Sunday July 14, 2024 at 9 a.m. PLEASE NOTE: If you are a returning Counselor or Activities Assistant, you do not need to complete another application; we have your information on file and your Assistant Director should be in contact with you.

Previous Sugarloaf instructional staff need to be in contact with your program director. Once again, camp will likely be filled to capacity! Currently, we plan to have twelve female living groups and six or seven male living groups each week with nine to thirteen Campers assigned to each Counselor.

These numbers are subject to change (hopefully more!). Two Head Counselors, Activities Directors and Activities Assistants, round out our list. To begin the process of considering you for employment with Sugarloaf, please complete an application by clicking the Apply Now button below. You will receive a confirmation email as soon as your application has been submitted.

We hope to be made aware of your interest and availability as soon as possible. We will have a waiting list for applicants should a counselor or other staff member become suddenly ill or some other unforeseen event occurs, preventing their attendance. Remember that we give hiring preference to former Counselors/Staff, in good standing, first.

We should hear from our former Counselors as to their availability by the end of April. This means that hiring decisions will be made mid-May. We will then be in contact with you as to your hiring status.

Special note: A written Parent/Guardian Authorization form will be required for any applicant fingerprinted who is under the age of 18.
