The Substance Use Disorder Operations Supervisor, oversees the Substance Use Disorder Professionals (SUDP/T) team, Peers, Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT), Case Managers and Care Team Assistant at Pacific Hope and Recovery Center (PHRC). The Operations Manager ensures high-quality treatment for clients, within a recovery framework based on a trauma-informed care model, to improve functioning and health. Supports staff in the performance of their duties through oversight of unit operations, care coordination and problem-solving within the care team, and with clients, other agency programs, and community resources. Provides regular review of clinical records and other documentation, to ensure appropriate service delivery, community linkages, and documentation.
The Substance Use Disorder Operations Manager helps improve the operations of KMHS in support of its stated mission and provides the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers.
Description
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide supervision to SUDP/Ts on all phases of recovery and evidence-based SUD treatment practices. Modalities may include individual & family therapy, group therapy, psycho-educational workshops, recovery skill-building groups, and crisis intervention.
Provide regular individual supervision. Document and keep records of significant interactions. By completing performance appraisals within KMH standards and timelines.
Promote the enhancement of positive staff morale by facilitating a timely response to problems, ensuring thorough and accurate internal communications, and providing opportunities for staff recognition.
Monitor and plan the use of unit resources to be within budgetary guidelines especially those related to unit activities and extra staffing. Provide input and assist the Subacute Residential Manager as needed and appropriate.
Conduct an ongoing review of clinical charts and all SUDP-specific documentation and ASAM to assure quality, accuracy, and compliance.
Assist in hiring, training, coaching, developing, evaluating and correction of staff.
Participate in program development and curriculum development.
Directly supervise assigned reports to facilitate coverage or personally provide coverage as needed.
For continuity of care, facilitate shift reports during pass-downs to ensure clients' progress is communicated across shifts at PHRC.
Facilitate a common language within the unit as to assessing acuity, risk, and methods of intervention.
Work closely with the Subacute Residential Manager, MHP, Shift Leads and others to organize a cohesive crisis intervention, including assessing for a higher level of care.
Work with SUD Team in the admission process, review ASAM evaluations, triage the waitlist, streamline the processes, making sure that clients are able to access care in a timely manner.
Provide substance use disorder, group, and psycho-educational classes as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Associate's Degrees in psychology, social services, or behavioral health field.
EXPERIENCE: Experienced (minimum 2 years of job-related experience)
LICENSURE: Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration.
Current Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) licensure in WA State. Must meet and maintain the requirements of a SUDP Approved Supervisor as defined in WAC 246-811-049 and the ability to provide supervision to SUDP/T.
Preferred Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE: Specialist (minimum 5 years of job-related experience)
Experience working with clients with co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse disorders.
