Description

The Subway Lead Attendant will assist food court management with daily operating

procedures such as maintaining quality store operations, maximizing financial

performance, and providing oversight and direction to Team Members in Subway. The

Subway Lead Attendant will ensure service standards are met by providing friendly and

professional service while ensuring high quality food and beverage offerings. The Lead

Attendant will follow proper preparation techniques in accordance with Subway and

Thunder Valley Casino Resort. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all

Company standards, policies, and procedures.

Essential Functions:

  1. Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort's "Winning Attitude"

company-wide culture and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.

  1. Focus on Guest Service and lead by example for fellow Team Members.

  2. Respond to incidental Guest issues, issue refunds, process comps, and process voids.

  3. Present a professional demeanor and demonstrate clear communication with all Guests

and Team Members.

  1. Anticipate Guests' needs and appropriately suggest additional products to enhance

service and meet sales goals.

  1. Train, coach, and encourage new Team Members to be efficient and effective.

  2. Act as role model while providing guidance and training to the Subway Team

Members on all the performance expectations listed in store training.

  1. Ensure all company policies and store operating standards and procedures are

communicated effectively and maintained and followed in a consistent manner.

  1. Organize work throughout the outlet in a manner that facilitates efficient Guest service

and profitable operation.

  1. Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.

  2. Perform and direct Subway Attendants to complete cleaning and operational tasks in

accordance with the duty rosters.

  1. Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing all products and

direct Subway Attendants accordingly.

  1. Follow inventory stocking and recording guidelines including but not limited to,

receiving daily pallet deliveries, placing all products from pallets in each assigned area,

following all proper rotation procedures, and ensuring all products in place are properly labeled for use.

  1. Place orders and perform special projects to assist with shift operations.

  2. Ensure proper types and amounts of materials, supplies, and merchandise are ordered and stocked.

  3. Ensure all cash handling and cash register functions are performed in an accurate and consistent manner.

  4. Effectively communicate new product information to the Team Members.

  5. Assist in store scheduling and adjust staffing to meet store business needs.

  6. Contribute to store goals for increasing sales and improving profit.

  7. Assist Food Court Management with accounting responsibilities.

  8. Maintain accountability for store operations, Team Member development, and financial contribution.

  9. Ensure Team Members follow meal and break policies.

  10. Communicate operational and Team Member concerns to Food Court Management.

  11. Compile daily end-of-shift reports and communicate with other leads and food court

management.

  1. Successfully complete and implement store training for the outlet, and facilitate

ongoing training of Team Members.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required

knowledge, skills and abilities.

  1. Three (3) years of experience in a food service outlet.

  2. Computer proficiency including working experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel

and Word.

  1. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in

both written and verbal form.

  1. Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, evening shifts.

  2. Must be at least 18 years of age.

  3. Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to

distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.

  1. Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time in a hot or cold kitchen

environment.

  1. Must be able to lift 20 lbs. with or without assistance.

  2. Requires walking, reaching, turning, bending, lifting, carrying, observing, hearing,

sitting.

  1. Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.

Work Conditions:

Work is typically conducted in a kitchen environment which may be hot, cold, and noisy.

Work will also be conducted in the proximity of the casino and in the presence of

secondhand smoke. Team Members will be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull

and grasp. These tasks include the maintenance and care of an assigned area. Team

Member must possess proper safety training in the use of chemicals. Frequent contact with

fellow Team Members and Guests is standard.
