Substitute Teaching - District Wide

Duties

The Substitute Teacher will provide instruction to children in a matter as to inspire, motivate and stimulate the child to develop skills and concepts to the child's learning capabilities. Will perform other duties as assigned by their supervisor.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Teaching Certificate - Elementary and Middle School

• Training and/or experience with elementary/middle school students

• Broad based knowledge of curriculum, teaching methodologies and assessment, the State of Illinois Goals for Education, and various media.

Salary/Benefits

• Tier I: Candidates with teaching credentials, certified in Illinois

• Tier II: Candidates with a Bachelor's degree and no teaching credentials (Will need SUB certificate)

• Tier I: $110 for the first 10 days; $150 a day thereafter.

• Tier II: $100 for the first 10 days; $150 a day thereafter

$ 100 bonus paid to both Tier I and Tier II subs, hired this school year after THREE (3) DAYS of completed sub service

Each new substitute gets ONE (1) Paid shadow day to be completed very soon after paperwork is completed.
