Substitute Teachers

Job Summary:Follow lesson plans, assignments, and instructional materials.Maintains order and discipline in the classroom conducive to effective learning.Takes all necessary safety precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.Creates a classroom environment that provides for student involvement in the learning process.Enables each student to achieve learning objectives.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications:The minimum qualification is a High School Diploma.Ability to speak and write effectively and correctly.Indications of excellent human relations skills.Ability to pass a background screening and Maryland HB486 Background Check Screening.

Pay Rates:Daily rates:Non-Degree - $105/day 4-year Degree - $130/day. MD Certified - $140.00/day

Long-Term Rates (Assignment for more than 6 days):Non-Degree - $125.00/day. 4-year Degree - $150.00/ day. MD Certified - $160.00/ day

• Eligible to accrue Sick & Safe Leave
• For long-term assignments in our Title I Elementary Schools, we look for MD Certification initially.
