Job Description Responsibilities:

The roles and responsibilities of the Substitute Teacher includes (but not limited to):

Maintain schedule availability to accept opportunities that arise
Execute lesson plans consistent with the teachers guidelines, and school curriculum
Uphold an orderly classroom environment and provide a positive learning experience
Familiarize yourself with emergency protocols, such as fire drills and lockdowns
Adhere to all company and school policies and procedures
Take attendance according to school procedure
Assign homework according to teachers lesson plans
Supplement lesson plans with your own class activities if lessons end early
Mentor and engage students
Maintain a positive, friendly, and respectful demeanor always
Create and maintain discipline and classroom control that fosters a safe and productive learning environment in accordance with school policies
Establish a positive relationship with Parallel staff, as well as our school administrators, teachers, students and their families.

Requirements

Associates Degree or higher required by the State of Wisconsin
Excellent Communication Skills
Classroom experience preferred but not required
Criminal History Background Check - both State and Federal
Drug screening with negative results
Substitute or Teaching License issued by the State of Wisconsin and compliance with DPI requirements - we can help guide you in the process!

Responsibilities * Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. * Sometimes using ladders, dusts and washes furniture, walls, machines, and equipment; cleans ceilings and dusts and polishes light fixtures.
