Substitute Teacher (2024-25 School Year)

Substitute teaching positions will be available from our first day of school on August 2024 through the end of the school year on June 2025. Both daily and longer-term assignments will be offered to candidates who are part of our district's substitute pool.

We offer assignments for substitute teachers at the following high school sites: Del Lago Academy, Escondido High School, Orange Glen High School, San Pasqual High School and Valley High School. Substitute Teachers are responsible for supervising an assigned classroom and teaching the lesson left by the regular classroom teacher.

Substitute Teachers are responsible for ensuring the well-being and safety of the students, utilizing classroom management skills, and following all school policies and procedures. This position is highly flexible with Substitute Teachers having some latitude in determining the frequency, days, locations and curricula they are willing to teach.
