• Copy of Transcript (Copy of all transcripts reflecting bachelor's degree) • With the passage of SB 153, the Basic Skills Requirement is no longer required effective 7/1/24. This allows for a bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education to serve as a demonstration of basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics.

Emailed, faxed, mailed, or hand delivered attachments will render your submission incomplete. If required, the application for an Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit will be supplied to appropriate candidates upon hire.
  
  Substitute applicants must live in a close proximity to our district, residing no farther north than Santa Barbara and no farther south than Thousand Oaks. If you are relocating within these areas, please be sure it is clearly noted on your application. We are only aware of the information that is provided to us. Please be advised that if you do not meet this requirement, we will be unable to consider you for substitute employment and your application will be automatically disqualified.

All substitute applicants will be subject to a paper screening and interview process. Please note that incomplete applications or applications with missing documentation will not be considered.
