Substitute School Security Officer

Qualifications:

1. Retired law enforcement required

2. Knowledge of child welfare and compulsory education laws and regulations

3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills

4. Required criminal history background check with demonstrated unblemished career as law enforcement officer

5. Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status

6. Valid weapon carry permit as assigned by the Superintendent of New Jersey State Police, with board authorization to carry a weapon on school property. (N.J.S.A.

2C:39-5),(N.J.S.A. 2C:39-6)

7. First Aid/CPR/AED Certified/ Preference given to NJDOE Safety School Specialist

Certification 18A:17-43.2

8. Additional Information as per attached Job Description

Hours: 7:45 am to 3:30 pm

Schedule: Substitute as needed, Pending approval of all necessary paperwork and certifications

Salary: Hourly Rate, $35 an hour per experience, Benefits not included.
