Substitute - Paraprofessional/Instructional Assistant Special Education

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, provide instructional support and assistance to teachers and students assigned to a designated special education instructional program; perform a variety of support activities related to behavior management and classroom instruction of special education students; assist in the preparation of instructional materials.

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

• Must pass the NCLB (No Child Left Behind) proficiency test, or have a minimum of 48 college units, or hold a college degree.

• The application must include the following documents: 1) Cover letter 2) Resume 3) Two (2) Letters of Recommendation (signed & dated within the last 2 years) 4) College Transcripts or copy of NCLB proficiency test results.

• Friday California School Employees Association Agreement Article VI, 6.1.3 states: "Voluntary transfer/promotion requests by an employee for an opening shall be given prior consideration over a new employee."
