Welcome! Our unified P-12 district serves about 4,300 students and consists of the Amador County Unified School District and the Amador County Office of Education.

Our schools and communities are nestled in the heart of the Gold Country in the Sierra Nevada Foothills, close to San Francisco, Sacramento, Yosemite and Lake Tahoe. Amador County Unified School District has two comprehensive high schools, one alternative high school, two junior high schools and six elementary schools.

Please submit 3 current (within the last 5 years) Letters of Recommendation.Requirements:High School Diploma or Equivalent.Must have an AA degree, 48 college semester units or pass our No Child Left Behind Proficiency Exam.CPR & First Aid CertificationOur Substitute Instructional Assistants are used in Special Education classrooms, Recess/Lunch Duty, Preschool and Extended Learning Program. Fingerprint clearance and a pre-employment physical will need to be passed to substitute as an Instructional Assistant in our schools. This is scheduled with HR during your onboarding if selected.
