BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Patrol and monitor an assigned campus; maintain order, safety and security; assure student compliance with school and District policies and regulations. Experience working with students.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE OF: Basic methods of individual and group supervision. Basic interests, attitudes and emotional development of adolescents.

Skills utilized to maintain positive relationships with students and adults. Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy. ABILITY TO:

Patrol and monitor an assigned campus to maintain order and security in a school setting. Assure student compliance with school and District policies and regulations. Learn, interpret, apply and explain policies, procedures, rules and regulations.

Perform duties with patience, tact and good judgment and within established guidelines. Learn District organization, operations, policies and objectives. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.

Observe situations and accurately determine an effective course of action. Operate a two-way radio.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: high school diploma or equivalent and experience working with students.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: The following MUST BE ATTACHED to the application on or before the deadline:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent OR Associate's Degree OR Bachelor's Degree OR Higher Education Degree
    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS / CERTIFICATES Possession of a valid California Driver's license. The successful applicant will be required to pass a pre-employment physical examination. Cost of the exam will be borne by the District. If selected for the position, out-of-district applicants must be T.B. tested and fingerprinted. A practical skills test may be administered at the time of interview.
