Must be knowledgeable of and follow all safety rules, procedures and practices.
Keep all equipment, tools, materials and work areas in a clean and orderly condition, reporting to supervision any damaged or defective equipment or conditions which may cause damage or injury.
Assist higher classifications in Substation Construction & Maintenance (SC&M) in performance of their assigned work and develop the skills needed to progress to higher classifications.
Perform work in a responsible and cooperative manner to facilitate a positive working environment.
Learn OSHA and Company safety rules.
Learn basic knots and rigging as well as tensile strengths of ropes, slings, and winch lines.
Organize parts and supplies inventories.
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Work Conditions Hours will be flexible around the intern's school schedule with a minimum of 20 hours per week. Full-time hours could potentially be available if the student's schedule allows. Physical Effort At times, heavy manual labor is a requirement. The candidate must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position in varying weather conditions.
