We are looking for an Electrical Substation Project Manager to support our growing energy practice in San Diego. The project manager will be responsible for all phases of the project life cycle from project initiation through close-out.
Job Location: San Diego, CA
Develop preliminary estimates, planning level estimates, and budgetary pre-construction estimates for projects assigned to Contractor.
Schedule management including evaluating, modifying and reviewing existing project schedules, developing critical path items to help manage projects, provide continuous updates of schedules to drive project activities, and assist in further improving utilization of schedules by making them a key part of project activities.
Budget/ cost management including analysis of the project cash flow, tracking of actual project costs, and development of cost forecasts.
Document management activities will include preparation of document transmittals, receipt and distribution of submittals, and review of document filing to confirm compliance with Company policies.
Field visits to check on project progress.
Hold regular project meetings onsite.
Responsibilities will include project reporting, meeting support, facilities management including coordinating maintenance of Contractor equipment, purchasing, billing support, document management and other administrative tasks.
As-built services provide services for verifying and documenting the Company facility and all its
systems and assemblies as planned, designed, installed, tested, operated and maintained to your project requirements.
Preparation of project scope for purposes of bidding engineering tasks.
Quality assurance/ quality control/document control.
Plan review/ constructability review.
10+ years civil/ structural construction experience
B.S. in Civil Engineering
Proficient in the use of SharePoint, Microsoft Office applications, AutoCAD, and other applications
Engineer in Training (EIT) and or Professional Engineering (P.E) license
