Job Summary:

The BIM Substation Physical Supervisor is responsible for providing direction, coaching, supervision, mentoring and communication to a team of leads and their directs within the BIM Drafting Department. In addition to supervisor tasks, they are responsible for all aspects of drafting and client standards of all drafting assignments while ensuring timely project delivery and quality.

Who You Are:

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree (ABET accredited university) in Engineering or Drafting/Design

• 4+ years of Inventor experience in the Engineering/Design of Structural systems

• Utilities or Energy Industries experience is a big plus

• Superior interpersonal skills needed to operate within a matrix environment.

• Previous Supervisory/Management experience is a big plus

• MS Word/Excel skills

• Outstanding leadership skills required to build and motivate project teams.

• Advanced organizational skills required to manage multiple complex advanced software implementation projects ensuring cost schedule scope and quality is met.

• Superior interpersonal skills needed to operate within a matrix environment.

• Exceptional communication skills are necessary when called upon to represent the projects interfacing with internal & external stakeholders and reviewing project with management and customers.

• Excellent computer system skills required for taking advanced software and understanding the best methods to implement it on projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the supervision of a BIM team of leads and their reports

• Monitor the progress of the various projects to ensure timeliness of completion, while addressing issues with team members and programs to ensure accuracy of design pickups and quality standards.

• Back-checking team members' work as required.

• Responsible for the BIM/Drafting budgets for various projects including creating and viewing reports to track the status of each project for time and budgetary purposes (e.g., project pipeline, project man-loading, hiring and team resource allocations/evaluations).

• Provide estimate hours and attend meetings that involve workloads.

• Work closely with engineering to ensure quality design to customer's standards while interfacing with internal and external stakeholders.

• Create drawing packages that include protection and controls and substation deliverables.
