Substance Abuse Counselor

About Us: Maryland Treatment Centers Inc., provides a comprehensive continuum of treatment for persons with problems involving substance use.

We feature specialty services for young adults and adults. Clinical programs include assessment, residential/inpatient, detoxification, day treatment, intensive outpatient and outpatient substance abuse, dual diagnosis, mental health, special education and prevention services. Our programs are accredited by the Joint Commission (JCAHO). Our Baltimore office has an IMMEDIATE opening for a Full-Time Bilingual Addiction Counselor.

Schedule: Monday- Friday (Flexible) Responsibilities: The overall responsibility of the Addictions Counselor is to provide and assure continuity of services to chemically dependent Young Adult and Adult patients and assure continuity of care in appropriate assessment, treatment planning, and referral. Minimum Requirements:

Must have minimum of Alcohol and Drug Trainee Status or one of the following certification or license with the State of Maryland: Licensed Graduate Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LGADC), Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC), Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LMSW), Certified Associate Counselor-Alcohol and Drug (CAC-AD) or Certified Supervised Counselor-Alcohol and Drug (CSC-AD).
