Overview of Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work individually with patients utilizing a variety of therapeutic models and interventions emphasizing person-centered treatment and harm reduction to help patients achieve positive outcomes and progress in recovery

  • Maintain an active caseload and complete all required initial, monthly, quarterly, and annual documentation for all assigned patients in a timely manner and according to best practice standards

  • Utilize individual treatment plans as primary intervention strategies for helping patients achieve their treatment goals, with updates as needed and according to regulatory standards

  • Work in a collaborative and team-oriented atmosphere to provide excellence in care for all patients at ARS

  • Coordinate care with external agencies as necessary to ensure continuity of care external to ARS

  • Complete monthly individual and group supervision to ensure professional growth and excellent patient care

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree preferred) in a human services field (Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, etc) with at least 1 year of experience in direct care counseling

  • Willing to work toward substance abuse certification (CADC, LCADC) or already holds substance abuse certification or license

  • Ability to work comfortably with a primary Electronic Medical Record

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, as well as ability to communicate comfortably and professionally with consumers, teammates, and other professionals

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to pass required State and Federal background checks

Have you ever wondered what you can do to help address the opioid epidemic in our community? Come work at Addiction Recovery System (ARS) of Lancaster, and help people on their journey of recovery! ARS Lancaster Clinic is an outpatient substance abuse treatment facility specializing in treatment of those addicted to opiates. Consisting of a team of highly dedicated medical, counseling, and administrative professionals. Position Description: The Dispensing Nurse is responsible for dispensing any medications the clinic may utilize in the treatment of patients. The Dispensing Nurse is responsible for the completeness of all medical aspects of the medical record and works with the Director of Nursing to assure appropriate medical care for patients. The Dispensing Nurse will adhere to the vision and mission of the Company Essential Functions: * Sets up for dispensing of medication and dispenses medication * Monitors medication inventory and reports to charge nurse * Reconciles inventory of Methadone and Suboxone at conclusion of dosing * Prints daily reports * Signs and processes physician orders * Enters notes in Methasoft and inputs flags as per physician orders * Completes COW's as needed to process dose changes and puts notes in systems * Processes phase change requests * Documents "no-shows" in system * Coordinates guest medication * Collects UDS as needed * Monitors vital signs for dose changes * Files appropriate paperwork * Calibrates Methadone pump * Participates in Treatment team and regular Medical Meetings as per Licensure standards. * Prints, signs and files monthly medication record * Be proficient with State Licensure Standards, CARF Standards, 42 CFR and HIPAA standards and Company policies. Qualifications: * Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a license from the state as a Licensed Practical Nurse or a Registered Nurse (depending on State requirements). * Some understanding of substance abuse. * Ability to make independent decisions when needed * Proficient in the use of personal computers * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Successful completion of State required background check and required trainings.
