SCHEDULE: PRN as needed

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, provides all services required as a case counselor in an intensive out-patient program including but not limited to conducting CD evaluations, facilitating didactic and support groups, developing and reassessing treatment plans and documenting care of patient.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required:

Certificate in Alcohol and Drug Studies or Chemical Dependency required. Certification or working toward Certification through the California Certification Board of Alcohol and Drug Counselors also required. CADC II preferred.

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support required.

Minimum three (3) years experience in the field of Chemical Dependency preferred.

Ability to learn and utilize computerized patient care management system.

Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Must effectively read, write and verbally communicate in the English language.

Minimum Experience:

Three years progressively more responsible related work experience necessary in order to gain thorough understanding of system and department policies, procedures and operations to perform moderately complex administrative duties such as coordinating meetings and conferences, budget development, complex computer and database management.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

The Case Counselor is directly responsible to the Chemical Dependency Coordinator and/or the Department Manager or delegate. A collaborative relationship with other staff members is maintained.

Degree of supervision required: Minimal, individual proceeds on his/her own initiative, in compliance with policies, practices and procedures approved by the hospital's Operations Division.

As a part of the growing Telecare Family, we are now hiring for our residential substance use treatment services (SUTS) in San Jose. This program will serve adults in a unified approach to recovery from substance use and mental illness. In our 50-year history, Telecare has provided co-occurring capable mental health treatment in numerous licensed residential treatment environments as well as outpatient settings. The primary goal of substance use residential treatment in such a system is to stabilize the psychological, physical and social aspects of addiction while preparing the individual for successful treatment at lower ASAM Levels of Care. Employment Status: Full-Time POSITION SUMMARY The Associate Administrator manages all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the Program, which involves ensuring regulatory compliance and actively overseeing quality assurance performance improvements. Additionally, the Associate Administrator collaborates with all corporate departments and outside consultants and representative of the program to State/County agencies, community partners, and consumer groups. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Masters in Social Services with an active CA state license as an LMFT or LCSW. * Four (2) years of experience in an administrative management position in a health care setting * Two (1) year of responsibility for supervision of professional staff, budgeting, program planning, and licensing * Understanding of community mental health services, psychiatric rehabilitation concepts, and the recovery philosophy * Must be at least 21 years of age * Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment * All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, valid driver license, a motor vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment. Additional regulatory, contractual or local requirements may apply Preferred: * A successful track record working with, and sensitivity to, multi-cultural populations and issues in urban settings are highly desirable Preferred: To be a success, you must have a Master's Degree and four+ years' experience in a progressively responsible supervisory/leadership positions in a psychiatric or related health care setting. Experience with substance use treatment services and familiarity with ASAM level of care is highly desirable. Ability to successfully manage staff is essential. Necessary skills include strong management skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to manage a diverse workforce. Experience with program budgets is necessary. Position Objective As the Associate Administrator/Program Director, you will manage the day to day operations of the facility including: * Establishing, supporting, interpreting, directing and coordinating implementation of facility philosophy, organizational objectives, policies and procedures. * Providing communication linkage between corporate management and facility departments, and the establishment and maintenance of a clear reporting structure detailing the relationships and responsibilities of all facility departments and positions * Assure compliance with appropriate regulations. In addition, you will oversee and assure that there are comprehensive quality Assurance and Utilization Review programs in place. * Responsible for fiscal management of facility including: responsibility for implementing, maintaining, and evaluating budgets in all operational departments, and analyzing budget variances with departments, and develop explanation and /or correction action plans required; responsibility to establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard physical, financial, and human resources. * Prepares administrative records, reports, and analyses; manages facility information systems * Utilize knowledge of and assurance of compliance with regulatory bodies, including Department of Mental Health and County Mental Health. * Identifies management learning needs of department heads and provides opportunities to meet those needs.
