The US M&O Microsoft 365 Business group (Office + Windows + EMS) is looking for an exceptional product marketer to join our team, someone with a passion for technology and ability to translate technical concepts into compelling stories. Education, Key Experiences, Skills and

Knowledge:
  • 3+ years' experience in product marketing, product management, or marketing communications for enterprise software or technology products with a track record of delivering tangible business results

  • Bachelors degree (B.S./B.A.) required. MBA degree preferred but not required.

  • A passion for technology and the ability to clearly articulate solutions in a business and customer-centric manner

  • Strong communication, presentation & interpersonal skills

  • Ability to think, plan, and execute resourcefully and autonomously with rigor

  • Ability to influence without authority, collaborate effectively, and lead virtual teams

  • Ability to view a business holistically end-to-end across Marketing, Sales, and Partner

  • Familiarity with marketing automation and account-based marketing theory

  • Strong analytical skills to analyze business performance, identify market opportunity and develop useful insights from data

  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous business situations

  • This role is based in the Redmond/Bellevue WA area and will require some domestic travel

The role

In this role, you'll have an opportunity to significantly impact one of the largest businesses at Microsoft! Your responsibility will be to lead Teamwork product marketing with a focus on Teams, Yammer and other M365 collaboration tools. You will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies, programs, and campaigns driving revenue and market share. You'll lead the demand and audience strategy, field enablement, and cross-group execution in the US.

Key responsibilities include:

This role will be highly collaborative with the Microsoft 365 Go-To-Market (GTM) team, US Central Marketing Org (CMO), US segment sales and partner leads, and Worldwide (WW) Microsoft 365 BG.

Marketing planning

  • Leveraging WW GTM guidance, you will lead the development of an aligned US Teamwork marketing plan incorporating key Microsoft 365 Marketing moments and feature releases

  • Support US scorecard metric owners to help build plans to achieve defined FY targets. Identify gaps in performance and collaborate with segment owners and field/partner teams to develop corrective actions

  • Provide insights to leadership team during regular business reviews (MBR/QBR/MYR)

  • Work closely with the US and WW GTM teams to define segmentation, targeting, and positioning across segments to inform marketing plans and achieve growth through targeted marketing efforts

Program/ campaign execution

  • Work closely with the WW Microsoft 365 GTM team to understand and leverage the full menu of global programs and content to drive demand in the US

  • Collaborate with the segment marketing and CMO teams to land/ adapt/ develop further marketing programs, plans, and activities to drive demand, acquisition, and usage to help achieve growth targets. Track and measure success with standardized marketing tools, KPIs, and budget discipline

  • Lead a virtual team to orchestrate the rollout of products, features and offers with sales, partners and customers; ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business and marketing goals

  • Act as the voice of the field and customer establishing a regular communication cadence for marketing program feedback to WW BG

Product Evangelism

  • Be the product expert be able to deliver the value proposition and compelling demo

  • Be the product advocate - evangelize products with customers, sales, and partners at marketing events, webcasts, campaigns, and sales engagements

  • Be the product trainer - plan field and partner readiness with guidance from WW; deliver product/messaging readiness and sales guidance to field

  • Be the product voice - provide the WW BG product feedback from customers, sellers, and partners to remove sales blockers and drive customer acquisition

To be successful in this role, you will develop and maintain a strong connection with WW teams, counterparts in other subsidiaries, and all your key US stakeholders to develop and share insights and best practices on growing the M365 business.
