SAIC has a contingent job opportunity for a Subject Matter Expert in Maritime Operational Center support to work with a NAVY customer in Suffolk, VA. This position is contingent upon contract award.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The successful candidate will coordinate C5I support and advice regarding the materiel requirements for a Maritime Operational Center (MOC) Command and Control (C2) support to Numbered Fleet and Navy Component Commanders as well as C2 support aligned to the emerging defense mission for Navy forces afloat and ashore, in compliance with existing and planned President-directed Phased Adaptive Approaches aligned geographically.

Qualifications

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

  • Must currently possess a TS/SCI

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 15 years of senior Navy operational experience in maritime missions/functions/tasks with working knowledge of the coordination between the tactical and operational level of war

  • Robust working knowledge of Navy, naval, and joint concepts and the processes through which they were derived

  • Exceptional Organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

  • B.S. in CS, IS, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline. (Desired)

Specialized Experience:

  • 10 years of experience in MOC C2 support

  • Coordinate C5I support and advice in connection with materiel requirements for MOC C2 support to Numbered Fleet and Navy Component Commanders

  • Coordinate C2 support aligned to the emerging defense mission for Navy forces afloat and ashore, in compliance with existing and planned President-directed Phased Adaptive Approaches aligned geographically.

Its Division of Child Support Enforcement (DCSE) manages 300,000 cases to ensure that child support payments of $650 million per year reach families across the Commonwealth. Support Enforcement Specialists establish and sustain helping relationships with parents who have payment obligations as well as parents who depend on those payments. A Support Enforcement Specialist works in a team setting, receives structured training, and benefits from on-the-job coaching. An SES serves as program agent for assigned child support cases. Duties may include locating non-custodial parents, establishing paternity, determining and assessing child support obligations and health care coverage, ensuring compliance of child and/or medical support orders through a number of administrative and judicial enforcement actions, and providing testimony in court proceedings when required. An SES develops the competence and independence to successfully meet the challenges of managing cases through these processes. VDSS engages its employees for success. Preferred Qualifications Prefer bachelor's degree in relevant field such as public or business administration, human services, legal studies, criminal justice, social work, psychology, or sociology. Prefer working experience in case management, or gathering and organizing client documentation to process financial transactions or maintain case activities. Prefer knowledge of and/or working experience in legal processes, to include preparing legal documents and providing court testimony. Prefer working experience in child support enforcement. Where "working experience" is listed in a preferred requirement above, prefer recent working experience to ensure relevance to current technology, work practices and methods, and familiarity with current laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
