The Mission Processing Group within Mission Services, Systems & Solutions (MS3) Space is seeking an experienced Subject Matter Expert with expertise in Requirements, Software Architecture, and Algorithm Development in Electro Optical (EO) and / or Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR).

This is an exciting new opportunity for someone with a strong background in the technical aspects of EO and/or SAR to get in on the ground floor of a large, forward-leaning cloud-based software solution of critical importance to US defense. You will provide technical support to the program developers, as well as mentor the junior engineers in the technical aspects of the program.

You will also help develop new business opportunities for these technologies, by creating solutions to customer requests and needs. Participation in Independent Research and Development projects, and work on trade studies and proposals will be included.

Typically has 14 - 20 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications

• Software or Systems Engineering skills, such as Software Architecture and Development, Requirements Design and Verification

• Strong analytical skills and math / science background for understanding and implementing algorithms

• Advanced Experience with Electro Optical (EO) and/or Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) systems

• Experience working with product teams to integrate ideas or transfer technology into products
