Basic Program Overview:

The successful candidate selected for this position will conduct system integration and maintenance and be a member of fielding teams providing equipment to Soldiers in the field. The candidate will trouble shoot, repair and remove and replace defective equipment as well as conduct and support the tracking of hardware and software for system fieldings, as well as provide assistance to senior technicians as directed. Must be able to learn hardware setup and teardown procedures. Create equipment inventories and document results using Microsoft Office products. Performs other duties as assigned.

General Responsibilities:

This position requires a self-starter who is highly motivated and capable of taking direction.

  • The successful candidate will operate as part of small teams fielding and repairing equipment

  • The candidate will conduct and support the tracking of hardware and software for system fieldings, as well as provide assistance to senior technicians as directed.

  • Must be able to learn hardware setup and teardown procedures and repair/replace line replaceable units.

  • Will be required to create equipment inventories and document results using Microsoft Office products.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • May travel up to 75% of the time. Travel may include hostile fire zones.

  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Mandatory Skills Requirements:

Must possess an active Secret clearance to start, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance with SCI access.

  • Must have the ability to perform routine system maintenance and computer system administrative functions and perform analysis of system operations.

  • Must have knowledge of, and the capability to use operating systems and database management systems.

  • Must have experience in fault detection, isolation, and correction of computer systems and individual peripheral devices.

  • Must be available for assignment to various CONUS/OCONUS sites for extended terms.

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must Possess a Secret Clearance to start with ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance with SCI.

Other Skills Preferred:

Experience with all DCGS-A Family of Systems, i.e. P-MFWS, IFS, F-MFWS, GWS, TGS, CDSS, CHARCS, etc.

  • Familiarization with the following hardware: Dell Servers, Dell Laptops, NetApp Servers, NetApp Disk Shelf, Cisco Switches, Sun Microsystems hardware. Knowledge of Unix/Linux/DOS commands. Knowledge of Windows Client/Server Software and Solaris 10.

  • Knowledge of Army organizational structure.

  • Familiarity with AR 700-142 and DA PAM 700-142. Qualifications Contractual requirements mandate a minimum of 7 years of experience. Additional Qualifications Contractual requirements mandate a 7 years of experience. No equivalents or years of experience substitutions allowed in lieu degree. Hood, TX JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/Objective Security Manager acting as subject matter expert working under general supervision of the BTSS Contract Program Manager. Extensive knowledge of Army security regulations and procedures is required with emphasis on security clearances. Assists newly hired personnel with security applications, identification cards, and building access. Ensures facilities are secured according to policy and that personnel are apprised of and follow security procedures. Develops and publishes internal guidance. Schedules security appointments and training to meet contract requirements. Tracks all mandatory training requirements. Work is independent in nature and requires certification training provided by the government. Supports command safety efforts with OSHA related compliance.
