Job Description:

Functions:

• Oversees all aspects of the ELA Department, Grades 6 - 12;

• Acts as consultant for the K - 5 ELA program;

• Provides assistance with administrative functions including staff development and the supervision and evaluation of staff.

Requirements:

• Successful record of teaching and leadership in a secondary setting;

• Demonstrated expertise in the area of ELA curriculum, instruction and assessment;

• Ability to nurture a culture of efficacy and passion in ELA for all stakeholders;

• Capable of leading in a high performing school community; and

• CT Intermediate Administrator certification (092) and English Certification (015).

Salary:

• Per the Westport Intermediate Administrators' Association Contract
