PRIMARY FUNCTION: Provide support services to the Chief Purchasing Agent, Purchasing Agents and Project Teams necessary for the outreach and coordination of subcontractor prequalification.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Subcontractor PQ Expeditor responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:
Subcontractor outreach to obtain all necessary documentation required for the Gilbane's prequalification process.
Provide support to subcontractors in completing their registration and prequalification in iBidPro, Gilbane's proprietary software.
Communicate Prequalification review needs to the GIG Prequalification Manager.
Maintain Business Unit Master Bidders List updating current bidder prequalification status and deficiencies.
Meet with the Purchasing Agent to review master bid list status.
Ensure that subcontractors marked as 'pending' in iBidPro have current documentation.
Thoroughly understand the prequalification module of iBidPro including upload of documentation.
Coordinate iBidPro password issues with the subcontractor, reset as needed.
Assist the project's purchasing personnel with generation of Bidders List though iBidPro.
Provide follow up review for the project's purchasing personnel of subcontractor prequalification status throughout the bid period. (I.e. prior to an award get an updated prequal from a subcontractor's prequalification that has expired during the bid period).
Assist the project's purchasing personnel with the collection and preparation of documentation required for Financial and EMR Waivers.
BS degree or 3-5 years of equivalent combination of education and experience. Degrees in Engineering, Construction Management or Finance a plus.
Entry level. Preferably some construction industry experience or internship
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Strong communication skills, both verbal presentation and written skills.
Strong customer service skills, comfortable and capable of telephone outreach and communication with subcontractors.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Proficient in working with computer programs (ability to learn iBidPro).
Ability to work autonomously and to prioritize workload and tasks across multiple regions & projects
