What you'll do:

The Style Advisor (SA) demonstrates selling behaviors consistent with the current selling model and happily engages both mom and girl to create a positive customer experience. Demonstrates company values by working cooperatively with others. Approaches work with positive intent and has the ability to properly communicate and interact with associates and customers. Completes tasks as assigned.

  • Must be at least 16 years of age

  • Ability to perform duties as described

  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with customers and associates at all times

  • Ability to work various hours/days of the week

  • Ability to move throughout the store continually for periods of up to 8 hours with fifteen minute breaks and meal periods, as required by state law

  • Ability to read documents and computer screens, and write and count in order to accurately complete company documentation and tasks

  • Ability to operate cash register by depressing keys and remembering keying sequences and policies

  • Ability to reach for, push, pull and/or move merchandise throughout the store generally weighing 0-50 pounds

Job Summary for Associate Stylist & Coordinator:   Coordination of samples for The Book, media, and online sell shots, from the time the buyers turn-in merchandise to post production. Styling contributions and support for print, media, and online. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Attend all book and media presentation meetings to receive merchandise and paperwork from buyers. Take photos/make copies of pictures provided by the buyers following presentation to be distributed to art directors & stylists. * Coordinate with buyers and art directors on shoot schedules and deadlines * Conduct all negotiations for samples between merchants and vendors for the print publication "The Book" and media jobs for Neiman Marcus Stores * Confirm samples for the book & media photo shoots; organize merchandise lists for Art Directors and stylists * Constant communication with assistant buyers and coordinators on missing merchandise; enforce deadlines and confirmations * Manage calendar for shoot and samples * Coordinate calendar with photo production team. Communicate shoot schedules with entire team along with specific info pertaining to each shoot. * Work with stylist on pulling looks together for the shoot * Pack merchandise (with appropriate documentation and paperwork) for shipping using specific guidelines * Organize and communicate local and out of town shipping services for merchandise going to/from shoots. This requires knowledge of Carnets and customs for international shoots. * Communicate with on-set stylists, producers, and art directors during shoot when necessary – occasionally over the weekends. * Receive merchandise back after shoot and audit contents; report discrepancies and damages. Report all to art directors, stylist and buyers. * Sell shots must be coordinated prior to or following the book or media shoots. * Maintain logs of merchandise coming/going * Work with freelancers to manage merchandise in the sample room * Communicate with art directors on any delays in merchandise delivery prior to shoot. Work with account management & production during this process to find a solution. * Coordinate post-production (color correction) then return merchandise to buyers; manage swatches for color corrections * Coordinate shipping for reshoots and rush images when turning over photography to Production dept. * Review all shipping invoices for accounts payable * Order necessary office and shipping supplies * Liaison between art director, stylist and buying office * Liaison for production and styling * Lead coordinator for Christmas Book * Style mailers – Style Beauty Event Mailer, assist with additional mailers including Shoe & Handbag, In-Circle, etc. * Styling additional collateral for seasonal projects (The Book/Online, Beauty Editorials & additional online editorials) * Online Eds styling and support * On-set styling support Job Requirements: 2-3 years experience in a related field  Ability to lift 30 lbs  Basic Mac computer skills - Excel experience, FileMaker a plus, but not required  Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment and deadline driven department   Self motivated with a strong sense of urgency   Strong problem solving skills and a positive attitude  Excellent communication skills  Assertive and a team player  Exceptionally organized  A love for fashion  Process oriented  Flexible hours a must  Neiman Marcus Dallas TX
