We are looking for a Studio Site Technician based in Brooklyn who can manage and plan our equipment maintenance at our 35-studio location in Gowanus, and potentially additional sites as we expand.

This is a part time contract - 20 hours per week (4 days, 5 hour morning shifts) - with the following requirements met:

  • Experience in equipment maintenance, specifically in musical instruments and gear; including Pioneer DJ and Focusrite interfaces
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Be a proactive, excellent time-keeper, who is approachable and friendly
  • Have the desire to wow customers and uphold the Pirate standards, always
  • Have the ability to challenge the norm and always seek leaner and more efficient maintenance programs
  • The knowledge to execute small repairs to keep equipment rockin' (alongside accreditation and insurance to carry out such repairs)

You will be responsible for:

  • Testing all band equipment intensively and making proactive repairs - including but not limited to guitar and bass amps, speakers, mixers, drum kits, electronic keyboards, audio interfaces, Pioneer DJ equipment, and microphones
  • Changing drum skins, tuning them and making our kits sound as good as the day we bought them
  • Fully testing all DJ equipment and production studio equipment weekly, with intensive periods of proactive maintenance and servicing
  • Managing faults, driving down future faults and being ahead of the game to ensure our customers can just show up and play without interruption
  • Managing our equipment inventory and completing weekly stock counts

Operates the radiographic equipment to produce radiographic recorded images of the body.
