Insider Inc. is hiring a Studio Production Fellow to join our growing team immediately. They should be familiar with live studio production and know their way around a control room. This is an ideal position for someone who has, or is currently working toward, a BA/BS in television production. The team helps shoot and run our in-house videos, helps manage our digital video assets, trains our producers, purchases and manages Insider's equipment, works with contractors to build out studio upgrades, and much more.
The Insider Fellowship Program is for early career journalists & videographers who want to spend six months learning from a passionate and dedicated newsroom. Fellows are assigned to teams and become experts in digital storytelling. They produce real work that is distributed to our audience of millions, and leave ready for the next phase of their careers. We're Looking For Someone with the following:
Familiarity with equipment such as TV switchers, audio boards, and various production equipment such as Canon cameras.
Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere along with various types of audio and digital video equipment.
The ideal candidate has a strong visual sense and can help shoot a variety of subjects including Science, Business, Technology, Food, Beauty, & more.
This person thrives in a fast-paced news environment and can multitask.
Great interpersonal skills and can work well with others.
A special interest in video equipment and how it all works.
Fellows on the Studios Team will spend their time:
Helping setup and run shoots for video producers.
Keeping track of, and maintaining, video equipment.
Helping ingest and manage video assets.
Assisting producers with technical questions.
And much more.

Please note that this internship requires that you work in our Manhattan office and pays an hourly salary of $18/hr. The internship term length runs up to six months, with some flexibility on start and end dates.
