They're the last stop in the creative process before the work goes live, and their keen eye for detail is a must to ensure only the most polished, professional, and breathtaking work makes its way out the door and if it can't fit out the door, they'll break the damn thing down.

Responsibilities:

  • Partners with the creative team to edit ad layouts including manipulation of images as well as ensuring ads can print on all media

  • Builds mechanical files

  • Collaborates with creative team during concepting phase to understand the initial strategy and the creative concept

  • Works on pieces for new business pitches and client presentations

  • Mounts layouts on boards or create comps for client presentation as needed

Requirements:

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience

  • A solid understanding of layouts

  • Some familiarity with basic design and 4-color print and production processes

  • Understands the requirements for building production-ready digital files (web and print)

  • Ability to implement quick revisions to match a client's or creative's request

  • Ability to work well in a fast paced environment with hard deadlines and multiple tasks

  • Team oriented with a collaborative approach to design and the studio environment

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator)

  • Must be highly detailed oriented

  • A background in design is ideal

The Interior Project Designer may have direct responsibility for design, translating client requirements to design criteria from conceptual design through installation. Essential Job Functions DESIGN * Interprets and evaluates client requirements. * Develops and coordinates detailed design concepts with ability to develop functional requirements and project-design criteria. * Demonstrates understanding of the architectural design process and integration of interior design concepts/ with ability develop design element components. * Coordinates integration of basic engineering systems into the overall project design. * Responds to technical implications of design decisions. * Facilitates firm and project goals of excellence in design, execution, and sustainability. TECHNICAL * Assists with design and technical coordination among disciplines ( architecture, branded environments, planning and strategies ) * Prepares reports and specifications; including review of reports, plans, cost estimates and calculations. * Implements code, accessibility and zoning analyses. * Performs tasks according to Perkins+Will Project Delivery Manual. MANAGEMENT * Participates in marketing efforts and may lead design presentations to prospective clients. * Directs, organizes and mentors junior staff with responsibility oversight of their activities.
