Beyond New York is looking for a Full Time Studio Coordinator to play a key role in maintaining an efficient, satisfying and productive work environment. The Studio Coordinator works with the Studio Manager in partnership with IT and People Operations team members.

In this role you will:

  • Be the day to day "first face" for staff, guests and visitors

  • Work with Studio Operations and IT on various expansion projects

  • Maintain order via inventory and auditing of office equipment and accessories

  • Help to coordinate and execute industry events, company social events and team outings

  • Assisting with furniture and equipment setup and breakdown

  • Maintaining the functionality and order of our meeting rooms on a daily basis

  • Assisting the GM and the Senior Leads with administration tasks, as needed such as expenses, travel, meeting coordination, etc.

Capabilities we're looking for:

  • Naturally friendly and professional demeanor

  • Meticulous organizational skills

  • Familiarity with Mac computers, accessories and cables

  • Solves problems to completion

  • Willingness to ask questions and learn quickly

  • Experience in hospitality

Today, T Brand is the publishing industry's premier creative agency, producing Timesian quality stories for hundreds of brand partners. In the process, we've pushed into new technical frontiers, from immersive web media to VR to AR and beyond. Our next frontier is digital audio. Piggybacking on the phenomenal success of The Daily — the most successful daily podcast ever launched — T Brand Studio is building an audio team to oversee and create branded media as rich as all our other great work. This role has the potential to help build a new franchise in the publishing industry's most successful branded content agency. The T Brand Audio team will operate like a startup within the larger advertising organization. Our founding creative audio producer should be self-starter with a passion for the emerging world of audio. They are able and excited to wear multiple hats, willing to work on and fix the smallest technical matter while also able to think big to help architect and execute ambitious standalone audio programs. Our audio team is tiny, but mighty, and this person will be both a creator and evangelist, able to spread enthusiasm for audio and the new ways it can weave into and enhance other forms of digital media content we produce. New York based, full-time contract/freelance. The Job This audio producer will oversee the Studio's audio projects, ranging from 30 second spots for Times' portfolio of podcasts to more ambitious, serialized branded audio programs. Responsibilities: * Lead development and production of all T Brand Studio audio media, including 30-second advertiser spots to long form series, including managing creative partners, booking, researching, recording in the field and/or studio, editing and mixing audio. * Cultivate and manage a network of freelance audio pros * Regular scripting and production of Times podcast ad spots * Maintain and increase production quality and value of ad spots * Collaborate with brands to produce unique audio content that fulfills their goals * Collaborate with other T Brand Studio producers on branded content programs with audio components * Monitor inventory and production needs on an ongoing basis, and lead client outreach for scripts * Evaluate, identify and assist in pitching custom podcasts to our advertising clients * Develop scopes for custom audio creation, from 30 second spots to high-production value podcast series * Work closely with Client Services to ensure clear and effective communication with clients * Partner with Ad Product, Ad Marketing and Ad Sales to competitively position NYT audio offerings within the industry landscape Skills: * At least 3 years experience in audio production and storytelling, commercial experience preferred * Roots in journalism, advertising or both * Experience working with brands * Interest in growing our audio operations, and this role, into something bigger * Comfort editing in Pro Tools and other audio production technologies * Maintain a diverse network of freelance audio producers, engineers, hosts and related vendors * An extensive knowledge of the current competitive landscape and industry trends, including podcast ad practices, branded podcasts and conventional podcasts * A passion for podcasts and new forms of audio storytelling * Creative ideas about how to craft a compelling branded content story * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Ability to diplomatically manage complex programs, while staying calm, upbeat and professional during high-stress assignments with demanding clients * Respect for team members with good instincts for complex intra-team dynamics * Also helpful: humility, a great sense of humor and thick skin * A passion for The New York Times #LI-HM1 The New York Times is committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce, one that reflects the varied global community we serve.
