Student Worker-Tutor

Position: Student Employee

• POST CAMPUS TUTORS in THE LEARNING CENTER for Writing Center and Tutoring Program

Reports to: Director of Writing Center

Description of Job:

Help students understand course material; prepare for exams; do research for papers; help with time management, organizational/planning skills and study strategies. Need students with a strong background in core classes:

English, Philosophy, Political Science, History, Psychology, laboratory science, Math, Economics, Accounting and Finance. Minimum cum gpa of 3.2 and faculty or department chair recommendation required.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Work up to 12 hours per week in The Learning Center - located on the main floor of the Library.

Requirements:

Must have 3.2 gpa and faculty or department chair recommendation for the courses you want to tutor

Flexible hours Monday

• Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
