JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

This position is in the Admissions Department and supports the administrative and student recruiting operations.

JOB DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Handle routine office functions including, but not limited to, answering phones, greeting visitors, and providing assistance as required; assist with completion of forms; basic data entry; file, copy and scan documents.

  • Assist in performing campus tours for prospective students and their families.

  • Assist in the preparation and execution of special events.

  • Maintain current knowledge of all University rules, regulations, and procedures. Assist in dissemination of information about Florida Polytechnic University.

  • Performed other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of standard office machines and equipment.

  • Skill in English composition, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

  • Skill in typing/word processing and use of personal computer/software, especially Microsoft Outlook, Work, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Customer service skills and ability to work as member of a team important.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be currently enrolled or attending classes at Florida Polytechnic University.

  • Complete a current year, error free and verified, Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

  • Demonstrate Finance Need, through completion of the FAFSA and review of current financial aid awards.

  • Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress, as defined by Florida Polytechnic University (link to SAP Policy).

  • Must hold a valid driver's license.

REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR OTHER SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS OF LAW:

  • This position requires a criminal background check.

  • This position is subject to federal and state privacy regulations.

EXPECTED STARTING SALARY: $12.25 hourly up to 20 hours per week during the fall and spring terms as approved by supervisor; up to 40 hours per week during the summer as approved by supervisor.
