The Student Worker position at Stockton University in the Coastal Research Center is a highly recognized internal resource with a passion for providing excellent customer service.

Descriptions of Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to swim, with fins, safety equipment, and with a partner, into the Atlantic Ocean or Delaware Bay 600-800' off the shore to a depth of
  • 15 feet while taking multiple location data points with survey gear.
  • Applicants should be comfortable in the water, enjoy hard work, and be team-players

  • Must have your own transportation to the Pomona House on the days scheduled as there is no transportation provided from campus

  • Be punctual and act professional

  • Adhere to good job practices and cooperate with departmental procedures

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required

  • Ability to manage time effectively

Required Qualifications

  • Red Cross Life Guard certification or PADI/NOUI dive certification or equivalent

  • Red Cross CPR training

  • Be punctual as a team member

  • Some types of military training may be substituted for certifications

  • Must be currently enrolled as a student at Stockton University
