Before school student supervision, 5 days per week, M-F (following student academic calendar); 191 days/yr, includes 11 holidays

Time Range: M,T,Th,F: 7:15 am

  • 9:00 am; W: 7:15 am

  • 10:00 am

Pay Range: $22.17 - $27.72 depending on prior verified experience

Benefits: Not eligible

JOB GOAL: Provide supervision and assistance to the overall operation of the school.

EDUCATION:

Minimum educational requirement is a High School Diploma or GED.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Complete required Vector trainings within the first 10 days of employment.

  • Criminal history clearance through Washington State Patrol and FBI. Fingerprinting cost is the responsibility of the employee.

DUTIES: May include but are not limited to:

  • Adhere to standards of confidentiality in regard to students and staff.

  • Supervise students in designated locations, both indoors and outdoors, to ensure a safe and orderly environment in accordance with District and school rules and regulations.

  • Assist with student behavior management as directed.

  • Assist with basic clerical work as assigned, e.g. running copies, delivering student notes, sorting mail, shelving library books, etc.

  • Operate office/computer equipment and software as necessary for the role: e.g. District email, SWIS, RedRover, Vector, etc.

  • Notify appropriate authority immediately in the event of any incident occurring on school premises.

  • Perform physical tasks, including repeated lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.

  • Perform related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to carry out the policies and procedures of the school relative to student safety and behavior management.

  • Ability to communicate and carry out District/building rules, regulations and procedures.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults.

  • Ability to problem-solve as needed.

  • Possess competent record keeping skills.

  • Possess competent organizational skills.

  • Ability to work with others as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with students, parents, staff and the general public.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Ability to be highly self-directed.

  • Ability to supervise and assist students.

  • Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR certification.

  • Ability to perform basic clerical functions: e.g. District email, SWIS, RedRover, Vector, etc.

  • Ability to lift and carry weights up to 50 pounds without assistance.

  • Ability to update skills as required.

  • Consistent, reliable attendance according to established work schedule is required.

  • Demonstrate proficiencies as assessed by District skills inventory.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Two years work experience with small or large groups of children.
