Job Description:

Summer Conference Assistants will:

• Provide assistance to and give tours at Accepted Student Day on Saturday, June 8

• Prepare and breakdown residence halls and rooms for summer conferences including setting up bedrooms, making beds, and washing linens

• Welcome guests and assist with check ins/check outs for camps and conferences

• Drive campus vehicles to transport guests (if ability permits)

Requirements:

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills including telephone etiquette

• Must be organized, attentive to detail, and team oriented with good customer service skills

• Must be available to work evenings, overnight, and weekends

• Have and maintain a minimum 2.50 cumulative GPA

• Be in good judicial standing with the College

• Have lived in the residence halls for at least one semester

Preferred requirements

• Experience giving campus tours

• Previous experience as a Resident Assistant (RA)

• Valid NYS Driver's license and ability to pass driver's background check

Additional Information:

• Job requires student to live on campus in a single or double room during the duration of this employment

• Must be able to remain on their feet and walking around campus for three hours, lift 25 pounds, bend, and push and pull carts that are up to 100 pounds

• $450 stipend for working the afternoon of Friday, June 7 through Thursday, June 13. Arrive before 2:00pm on Friday, June 7; departure after 4pm on Thursday, June 13.
